Supreme Council for Health and Health Minister Review NHRA’s Digital Advancements

Manama: Lieutenant General Dr. Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Supreme Council of Health (SCH), along with Dr. Jaleela bint Al Sayed Jawad Hasan, Minister of Health, have evaluated the latest digital projects and initiatives by the National Health Regulatory Authority (NHRA) aimed at enhancing access to health sector data and indicators to aid decision-making processes.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the SCH Chairman highlighted the critical role of modern technologies and digital solutions in advancing the healthcare system, boosting performance, and improving the quality of health services in Bahrain. The review focused on enhancements to the "Madar" system and the Drug Tracking System, which include data concerning medical devices and medicines. Additionally, it examined the performance indicators and statistics of the NHRA Contact Centre, as well as the National Accreditation Programme system, which provides data regarding the accreditation of hospitals and health institutions and their compliance with approved standards.

Dr. Jaleela underscored the significance of data integration and digital technologies in supporting performance monitoring and the development of services. Dr. Ahmed Mohammed Al Ansari, Chief Executive Officer of the NHRA, stated that these initiatives are part of the authority's ongoing digital transformation efforts to enhance performance monitoring, evaluation, and regulatory efficiency.
