Supreme Council for Environment Launches Automated Renewal for Chemical Licences

Hanoi:The Supreme Council for Environment has enhanced its service for renewing chemical import and use licences. This development is part of broader government efforts aimed at improving service quality and streamlining procedures.

According to Bahrain News Agency, The updated service allows licensed establishments to automatically renew their environmental licences annually, adhering to the council's criteria. This automation replaces the previous process, which took five working days.

Improvements include a reduction in the service-level agreement by at least 25%, a simplification of procedures, an enhanced user interface and experience, upgrades to current systems, the introduction of electronic application forms, and the standardization of service information across various channels.

Amina Hamad Al Rumaihi, Chief Executive of the Supreme Council for Environment, stated that this development underscores the council's commitment to providing more efficient and accessible services. The council prioritizes continuous service development, institutional efficiency, modernizing regulatory procedures, and leveraging digital technologies to boost environmental oversight and service delivery.

This initiative is part of a larger government effort to refine and redesign public services. Over 1,300 government services have been documented, translated, and published, with 800 services undergoing development and re-engineering across different government sectors.

The improvements are informed by feedback from the National Suggestions and Complaints System (Tawasul), investor feedback, and mystery shopper reports. Additionally, the government has introduced guidance manuals and service-level agreements to streamline procedures, improve service quality, enhance user experience, and advance digital transformation.
