Manama: Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, the Speaker of the Council of Representatives, welcomed Mohammed Ibrahim Al Sisi Al Buainain, the Secretary-General of the Council of Representatives, acknowledging the Council's achievement in securing the 2025 Bahrain Digital Content Award (BDCA) in the Inclusion and Empowerment category for the "MP Portal" project.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the Speaker underlined the dedication to leveraging digital transformation and artificial intelligence to advance parliamentary functions and support the legislative authority. He indicated that these efforts are crucial for enhancing achievements and performance, aligning with the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, with the backing of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
Al Musallam stressed the necessity of staying abreast of technological progress and modern innovations across all work domains, adhering to a national vision while maintaining professional and ethical standards. He praised the Kingdom's projects, initiatives, and programmes in digital transformation, driven by the national talents of Team Bahrain.
Al Buainain expressed gratitude to the Speaker for his support and leadership in advancing parliamentary work and offering specialized services that reflect the comprehensive progress seen in the Kingdom. He highlighted the General Secretariat's provision of various parliamentary technical projects, initiatives, and programmes in digital transformation and artificial intelligence for its members. This includes platforms for public engagement such as the MP Portal, Parliamentary Adviser, Digital Legal Platform, "Nuwaab" mobile application, and others.
Al Buainain further pointed out that the General Secretariat aims to fulfill its objectives by working collectively as one team, adhering to a clear and advanced work plan, and delivering high-quality services to support legislative work, setting a regional benchmark in parliamentary practice.
