Manama: Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, Speaker of the Council of Representatives, received Mohamed Ebrahim Mohamed Abdulqader, Bahraini Ambassador to Pakistan. The Speaker affirmed the deep-rooted and historic ties between Bahrain and Pakistan, highlighting the continuous progress across all domains. He attributed it to the strategic partnership between the two countries, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Excellency President Asif Ali Zardari of Pakistan.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Al Musallam also underscored the high level of parliamentary cooperation and coordination between the Council of Representatives, and Pakistan's National Assembly, and Senate. The Speaker emphasised the importance of joint parliamentary committees to strengthen bilateral ties, promote economic cooperation, and facilitate expertise exchange. He commended the Foreign Ministry and Bahrain's Embassy in Pakistan for their efforts in advancing diplomatic ties.
