Manama: In line with the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, Speaker of the Council of Representatives, participated in Tree Week activities by planting a tree at the Council headquarters, alongside several Council members and the Secretary General.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the initiative supports Bahrain's national afforestation plan, which aims to plant 3.6 million trees by 2035. This effort is part of the Kingdom's vision to achieve carbon neutrality by 2060. The initiative also seeks to raise environmental awareness, promote eco-friendly practices, and encourage practical solutions to preserve natural resources across various sectors.
