Tashkent: Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, Speaker of the Council of Representatives, met with Yerlan Koshanov, Chairman of the Mazhilis of Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, on the sidelines of the 150th Inter-Parliamentary Union Assembly in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. Al Musallam highlighted the importance of enhancing bilateral ties in parliamentary, political, and economic domains.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Al Musallam expressed the Kingdom's interest in advancing parliamentary cooperation and aligning positions at Asian and international forums, particularly in the areas of economy and energy. Koshanov emphasized Kazakhstan's commitment to enhancing cooperation and exchanging parliamentary expertise. He also invited Bahrain to increase trade, investment, and coordination between the two countries by aligning views on key issues.
The meeting was attended by MP Abdulnabi Salman, First Deputy Speaker; MP Hassan Ibrahim Hassan; Dr. Bassam Ismail Albinmohammed; Mohammed Ibrahim Al Sisi Al Buainain, Secretary General of the Council of Representatives; and Kareema Mohammed Al Abbasi, Secretary General of the Shura Council.
