Manama: Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, Speaker of the Council of Representatives, met with Boris Chernyshov, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma of the Russian Federation. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly Standing Committee on Economic Affairs and Sustainable Development.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Al Musallam praised the longstanding relations between Bahrain and Russia, which are supported by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Excellency Vladimir Putin, President of Russia. He highlighted the importance of parliamentary coordination in enhancing bilateral relations and regional cooperation. The discussions focused on strengthening bilateral ties and exploring shared parliamentary interests.
Deputy Chairman Chernyshov acknowledged the advanced relations between the two countries and expressed his wishes for the Kingdom's continued progress and prosperity.
