Speaker Meets Moroccan Counterpart, Highlights Strong Bahrain-Morocco Ties

Tashkent: Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, Speaker of the Council of Representatives and Head of Bahrain's parliamentary delegation, met with Mohamed Ould Errachid, President of the House of Councillors of the Kingdom of Morocco, on the sidelines of the 150th Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) Assembly in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. The meeting discussed the strong ties between the Kingdom of Bahrain and Morocco, and their ongoing development under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Majesty King Mohammed VI.

According to Bahrain News Agency, both sides highlighted the depth of bilateral relations and their shared commitment to advancing cooperation across various developmental domains for the benefit of both kingdoms. They also discussed enhancing parliamentary cooperation, exchanging legislative expertise, coordinating positions in international forums, and supporting joint initiatives and programmes.

The meeting was attended by Jamal Mohammed Fakhro, First Deputy Chairman of the Shura Council; Abdulnabi Salman, First Deputy Speaker of the Council of Representatives; MP Hassan Ibrahim Hassan, Dr. Bassam Ismail Albinmohammed, and Mohammed Ibrahim Al Sisi Al Buainain, Secretary General of the Council of Representatives.
