Speaker Lauds Outcomes of HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister’s Visit to the US

Manama: Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, Speaker of the Council of Representatives, commended the outcomes of the official visit of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to the United States of America. He highlighted the significance of His Royal Highness's meeting with His Excellency Donald J. Trump, President of the United States of America, and the discussions held with senior officials in the U.S. administration, which reinforced the strength of Bahrain-U.S. strategic relations.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Al Musallam expressed pride in President Trump's praise of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, describing His Majesty as a highly respected leader in the region and internationally. He noted that the U.S. President underscored the depth of the bilateral alliance, built on decades of mutual cooperation.

The Speaker lauded the announcement of a USD 17 billion investment package between the private sectors of both countries, covering aviation, technology, industry, and investment. He affirmed that this reflects the confidence and enduring partnership between Bahrain and the United States.

Al Musallam further underlined Parliament's support for enhancing bilateral cooperation, particularly in trade and economic fields, citing Bahrain's advanced legislative infrastructure and attractive investment climate. He also referred to longstanding agreements such as the Bahrain-U.S. Free Trade Agreement and the Comprehensive Security Integration and Prosperity Agreement, recently joined by the United Kingdom.

He emphasized the importance of parliamentary diplomacy in building on the visit's achievements and expanding areas of cooperation between the two friendly nations.
