Manama: Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, Speaker of the Council of Representatives, praised the significant role of Bahrain's national press as an essential partner in advancing the Kingdom's comprehensive development. This development is being undertaken under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and guided by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
According to Bahrain News Agency, during the Prime Minister's Award for Journalism 2026 ceremony, held under the patronage of HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Al Musallam highlighted the award's professional and academic recognition. He emphasized its contribution to the progression of Bahrain's media and journalism sector. The award has enhanced competitiveness and performance across national media organizations, serving as a vital incentive for journalists and editors to exhibit initiative, creativity, and excellence.
Al Musallam also acknowledged the award's evolving categories in its current edition, particularly their role in identifying and fostering young talent. These categories provide university students with participation opportunities, supporting the entry of a new generation of journalists and media professionals into the sector while maintaining professional and national values.
