Speaker Arrives in Egypt for Eighth Conference of Arab Parliament and Speakers of Arab Councils and Parliaments

Cairo: Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, Speaker of the Council of Representatives, arrived in the Arab Republic of Egypt to take part in the Eighth Conference of the Arab Parliament and Speakers of Arab Councils and Parliaments, set to be held in Cairo on Saturday.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Speaker Al Musallam emphasized the strong royal support that Arab parliamentary work receives from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, alongside the focused attention from His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

He expressed appreciation for Egypt's role, under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, in bolstering joint Arab action and highlighted the enduring Bahrain-Egypt relations across multiple domains.

The Speaker underscored the significance of Arab councils and parliaments in fostering cooperation across various areas, enhancing relationships in the interest of all involved parties, and discussing regional developments and strategies to address them. This cooperation aims to support Arab causes, improve security and stability, and advocate for the Palestinian cause and other major issues, all through coordination and consultation to meet the aspirations of Arab states and peoples.
