Southern Governorate Releases Final Report on Anti-Diabetes and Obesity Campaign


Manama: In the presence of His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Southern Governor, and in cooperation with the Bahrain Diabetes Society, the Southern Governorate launched the final report of its Anti-Diabetes and Obesity Campaign, held in conjunction with World Diabetes Day.



According to Bahrain News Agency, HH Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali emphasized the governorate’s commitment to continuing health and community initiatives that align with international observances. This commitment aims to enhance community partnership and coordination with relevant institutions and associations. He stated that these efforts are designed to sustain health awareness across all segments of the Southern Governorate, supporting its aspiration to be recognized as a “Healthy Governorate” and reflecting its dedication to public well-being.



Lieutenant General Dr. Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Supreme Council of Health and President of the Bahrain Diabetes Society, praised the ongoing collaboration with the Southern Governorate in promoting public health. He noted the society’s role in raising awareness and achieving positive results for the governorate’s community through enhanced education on diabetes.



HH Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali received the final report on the Anti-Diabetes and Obesity Campaign from Dr. Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdullah as part of their joint effort to boost community awareness.
