Southern Governor Chairs Fifth Security Committee Meeting of 2025

Manama: His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Khalifa, Governor of the Southern Governorate and Chairman of the Security Committee, chaired the committee's fifth meeting of 2025. The meeting was attended by Brigadier Hamad Mohammed Al Khayyat, Deputy Governor, Colonel Shaikh Salman bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Deputy Director General of the Southern Governorate Police Directorate, and senior officers from the Ministry of Interior.

According to Bahrain News Agency, HH Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali stressed the significance of coordination among security agencies to maintain safety in accordance with the directives of General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior. During the meeting, the committee discussed security preparations for Eid Al Adha and other upcoming events. The Southern Governorate Police Directorate and the General Directorate of Traffic have developed plans to ensure smooth traffic flow and public safety through coordinated deployment.

The Governor also examined the preparations for the sixth edition of the Governor's Social Security Programme, slated for mid-June. This initiative aims to foster community partnership and raise awareness among youth through modern and engaging methods. Furthermore, the Civil Defence General Directorate presented its summer safety plan, which focuses on verifying safety compliance in facilities and enhancing public awareness.

Additionally, the General Directorate of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Evidence provided local security statistics and proposed measures to bolster public safety.
