Southern Governor Chairs 8th Security Committee Meeting Focused on Safety and Stability

Manama: His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Khalifa, Governor of the Southern Governorate, chaired the 8th Security Committee meeting for 2025. The Governor emphasized the committee's vital role in executing the directives of General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, the Minister of Interior, to meet the security needs of residents and enhance safety and stability in the region. He praised the efforts of security agencies and highlighted the effective coordination between the Governorate and these bodies.

According to Bahrain News Agency, HH Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali expressed gratitude, on behalf of himself and the residents, for the Minister of Interior's recent visit and interaction with the citizens. The Governor noted the collaboration with the General Directorate of Traffic and other security agencies in securing public facilities and reinforcing community safety.

The Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) provided a report detailing intensified inspection campaigns against illegal workers in Riffa, with 149 campaigns and 7,095 inspection visits conducted. The Governor lauded these joint efforts with security agencies to combat unregulated labor practices and protect community welfare. He also underscored the importance of ongoing summer activities aimed at enhancing security awareness among youth centers, fostering community partnership, and civic responsibility.
