Manama: The Embassy of the Republic of Korea in the Kingdom of Bahrain marked the celebration of Korean National Day with an event attended by notable figures and officials from both countries. The gathering included Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Commerce, members of the Shura Council and Council of Representatives, Ambassador Talal Abdulsalam Al Ansari, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Consular and Administrative Affairs, along with officials, diplomatic corps members, businessmen, and representatives of the Korean community in Bahrain. According to Bahrain News Agency, Hyemi Kim, Acting Chargé d'Affaires of South Korea to Bahrain, expressed her pride in the enduring relationship between Bahrain and South Korea. She emphasized the strong partnership that has been established across multiple sectors. Kim highlighted the ongoing development of these relations through beneficial cooperation and high-level reciprocal visits, noting that the partnership initially began in energy and infrastructure and has now expanded into critical areas such as IT and healthcare. She also mentioned plans to further cooperation in renewable energy, environmental technologies, smart agriculture, artificial intelligence, fintech, and other emerging industries. Kim further highlighted the significance of the investment promotion and protection agreement between Bahrain and South Korea, which became effective in late July. She described it as a crucial step toward enhancing trade and investment between the two nations, reflecting the commitment to deepening economic ties and fostering mutual growth.
