Sources confirm the uprooting of the Governor of Nineveh, and Al-Jubouri explains

Sources from Nineveh Governorate announced that Nineveh Governor Najm al-Jubouri was included in the Accountability and Justice (Eradication) Law.

The sources said in a statement to the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA) that, “Accountability and Justice issued an order to uproot the Governor of Nineveh, Najm al-Jubouri, as he is a former division member of the dissolved Baath Party, and this prevents him from participating in the provincial council elections.”

For his Part, the Governor of Nineveh, Najm al-Jubouri, responded in a statement to the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA): “I had been expecting for some time to be ‘rooted out’ in an attempt by competitors to exclude me from the provincial council elections, and this is not surprising.”

Al-Jubouri leads the Nineveh Party for its People, which intends to participate in the provincial council elections.”
