Social Development Minister Visits Capital Mall for Bahraini Handmade Products

Manama: Osama bin Saleh Al Asfoor, Minister of Social Development, paid a field visit to the Capital Mall for Bahraini handmade products, one of the ministry's initiatives aimed at supporting and empowering productive families.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the minister toured the various sections of the mall, which features a range of home-based projects managed by Bahraini families. The venue serves as a platform for displaying and selling locally made products, including handicrafts, traditional foods, garments, natural care items, and other goods that showcase national skills and local creativity.

During the visit, the minister met with participating families and listened to their feedback and suggestions on their experience at the mall, including proposals to strengthen their commercial presence and improve marketing opportunities for their products.

In response to the discussion, the Minister announced that the mall's opening hours would be extended into the evening starting Monday, May 5, to enable broader public access and enhance the visibility and sales of participating families.

The minister reaffirmed the ministry's commitment to supporting productive families and ensuring the sustainability of their activities. He noted the ministry's continued efforts to develop initiatives and programmes that expand market participation, provide access to promotional platforms, and offer technical and administrative support to enhance product quality and competitiveness.
