Social Development Minister receives Bahrain Paralympic Committee President

Social Development Minister, Osama bin Ahmed Khalaf Al-Asfoor, received here today the President of the Bahrain Paralympic Committee, Shaikh Mohammed bin Duaij Al Khalifa, with whom he discussed ways to enhance joint cooperation and coordination to support and rehabilitate people with special needs in the sports field.

The minister commended the efforts exerted by the Bahrain Paralympic Committee thanks to the ongoing support of the First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sport, General Sports Authority Chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee President, His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, praising the outstanding results attained by the Paralympic movement in the kingdom at various sporting gatherings.

Shaikh Mohammed bin Duaij praised the Social Development Ministry’s efforts to provide comprehensive care for people with determination, which, he said, has contributed to protecting their rights and optimising their gains.

He pledged that the Bahrain Paralympic Committee will do its utmost to bring about more achievements for the kingdom in the upcoming competitions.
