Social Development Minister Inaugurates First Regional Conference on Disability Education and Training.

Manama: Under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Osama bin Ahmed Khalaf Al Asfoor, Minister of Social Development, inaugurated the first regional conference on 'Education and Training Curricula for Persons with Disabilities: Effective Strategies and Practices'. Organised by the Bahrain Down Syndrome Society in collaboration with the Centre for Academic Excellence in Scientific Services and Training, the conference convened experts and specialists in the field. According to Bahrain News Agency, HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad emphasized the significance of the event as an essential step in bolstering efforts to support and empower individuals with disabilities. He noted the event reflects Bahrain's dedication to developing educational and training programs that adhere to global best practices, addressing the needs of this vital community group. His Highness remarked on the fundamental role of education and training in empowering persons with disabilities and fully integrating them i nto society. He highlighted that the conference serves as a platform for experts to exchange knowledge and ideas, aiming to enhance the quality of educational and training programs.
