The Security Media Cell announced that an attempt to target power transmission towers thwarted in Salah al-Din Governorate.
A statement of the cell stated that: “According to the directives of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces regarding the importance of thwarting the attempts of defeated terrorist elements and outlaws, and through field follow-up and intensification of intelligence efforts, a force from the 95th Brigade, the 21st Division within the Salah al-Din Operations Command, and an engineering effort from electricity maintenance, found 16 explosive devices were located in the west of al-Siniyah district in Sukariyat area of Baiji district, and they were dealt with accordingly.
It added, “The security sectors have strengthened their presence in the place, while carrying out preemptive operations within the sector of responsibility.”
The cell confirmed: “Our security forces continue to perform the duties and tasks assigned to them in the required manner and provide the highest levels of protection for the electric power towers.”
