Manama: Bassem bin Yaqoob Al Hamer, President of the Survey and Land Registration Bureau (SLRB), welcomed the eleventh intake of the Prime Minister's Fellowship Program, emphasizing the program's role in cultivating national talents and broadening their experience with various government practices. This initiative aims to prepare participants to contribute significantly to Bahrain's development, guided by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Al Hamer underscored the Bureau's responsibility in regulating and enhancing survey and land registration activities while managing real estate, survey, and geospatial data. He highlighted the importance of such data in bolstering government services and projects, facilitating information integration among entities, thereby improving government procedures and services.
The participants received insights into the century-long history of survey and land registration in Bahrain and the Bureau's evolution over the years. They were informed about the advancements in the title deed, including its transition to an electronic format, which has revolutionized data issuance, storage, and accessibility.
During the visit, the attendees were also introduced to the Bureau's significant projects and initiatives, along with the technologies, systems, and applications employed in survey, land registration, and geospatial data. These tools play a vital role in supporting digital transformation, streamlining procedures, and enhancing the accuracy, reliability, and quality of government services and outputs.
Al Hamer highlighted the necessity for government staff to learn from the experiences and expertise of various entities, fostering a comprehensive understanding of government operations and enhancing inter-sectoral and service linkages. He noted that the ongoing enhancement of government performance hinges on teamwork, knowledge exchange, and the promotion of creativity, excellence, and responsibility in serving the Kingdom and achieving its goals.
Participants expressed that the visit significantly enriched their understanding of the survey and land registration sector, its evolution, and the impact of modern data and technologies in driving digital transformation and improving government services in Bahrain.
