Manama: Shaikha Lamia bint Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, President of Al Noor Charity Welfare Society and Chairperson of the Permanent Committee for Organising the Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa Quran Award, has announced that the sixth edition of the award will commence in October 2025.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the award, which also features the Quranic Personality Award, attracts over 1,000 participants annually, including children under the age of ten. Ten winners are selected from each branch of the competition, with monetary prizes awarded to all participants and the highest accolades reserved for the top three winners.
Shaikha Lamia stated that preparations are already underway for the upcoming sixth edition. These preparations include the registration process, receiving applications, and appointing organising and judging committees in accordance with the competition's rules. Details regarding registration will be released in the coming days.
She expressed her hopes for the success of participants in enhancing their Quranic knowledge for the benefit of the nation.
