Manama: The Shura Council's Foreign Affairs, Defence, and National Security Committee, led by Deputy Chairman Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, welcomed a delegation from the United States Congress, headed by Congressman Bradley Schneider. The meeting was also attended by members of the Foreign Affairs, Defence, and National Security Committee of the Council of Representatives, focusing on enhancing cooperation and joint coordination.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa emphasized the strong bilateral relations between Bahrain and the United States and the need to develop political and economic ties further to benefit both nations. He reiterated Bahrain's commitment to promoting international peace and fostering a culture of peaceful coexistence and dialogue among various civilisations and religions, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
Congressman Schneider praised Bahrain's efforts in promoting peace and coexistence in the Middle East. He highlighted the importance of strategic cooperation and regional integration between the United States and countries in the region.
