Shura Foreign Affairs Committee Engages with French Senator to Boost Parliamentary Relations

Manama: Dr. Ali bin Mohammed Al Rumaihi, Chairman of the Shura Council's Foreign Affairs, Defence and National Security Committee, welcomed Olivier Cadic, member of the Senate of France, during his visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain. The visit is part of efforts to enhance parliamentary relations and exchange expertise with friendly nations.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Dr. Al Rumaihi emphasized the significance of continued joint efforts between Bahrain and France in parliamentary and diplomatic affairs. This collaboration aims to reinforce bilateral cooperation and align positions on issues of common interest. He reiterated Bahrain's steadfast support for regional and international peace initiatives, as guided by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, which focus on promoting security, stability, and peaceful conflict resolution.

Dr. Al Rumaihi acknowledged the historical ties between Bahrain and France and the significant progress in bilateral parliamentary cooperation. This has been achieved through the exchange of parliamentary visits and expanded dialogue on shared concerns. He noted the crucial role of parliaments in strengthening international relations and establishing foundations for constructive cooperation that benefits mutual interests.

The meeting also addressed regional and international security developments in the context of ongoing geopolitical changes, stressing the importance of enhancing parliamentary cooperation and sharing perspectives among friendly countries.

Olivier Cadic expressed his appreciation for the Shura Council's efforts to highlight Bahrain's legislative and democratic advancements.
