Manama: The Shura Council services committee recently engaged in discussions with Dr. Anja Reinalter, a Member of the German Bundestag, alongside Clemens Augustinus Hach, the Ambassador of Germany to Bahrain. The meeting focused on enhancing legislative cooperation and parliamentary exchanges, with particular attention to sectors like education and healthcare.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the committee, led by Dr. Jameela Mohammed Redha Al Salman, emphasized the significance of fortifying Bahrain-Germany parliamentary relations. The aim is to enhance legislative expertise and promote parliamentary diplomacy between the two nations.
The discussions also included agreements related to customs, economy, security, and aviation. Additionally, Germany's International Parliamentary Scholarships for Arab countries were a topic of interest. Dr. Reinalter acknowledged Bahrain's progress in democratic practices and reiterated Germany's commitment to expanding parliamentary collaboration.
