Shura Council General Secretariat and Bahrain Polytechnic Celebrate First ‘Certified Trainer’ Graduates

Manama: The Shura Council General Secretariat, in collaboration with Bahrain Polytechnic, held a graduation ceremony for the first cohort of the "Certified Trainer" programme. The ceremony also included the recognition of Bahrain Polytechnic students who developed a digital system to streamline procedures at the General Secretariat as part of a collaborative effort to enhance workplace efficiency through community partnerships.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Kareema Mohammed Al Abbasi, Secretary General of the Shura Council, emphasised the importance of enhancing training programmes for the council's staff, adopting specialised initiatives based on practical application and real-world expertise. She noted that these efforts aim to promote legislative awareness, facilitate knowledge exchange, and develop effective communication, in line with the General Secretariat's 2024-2026 strategic plan, which prioritises investing in national talent and strengthening their abilities through training programmes.

The Secretary-General highlighted the support of Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, Chairman of the Shura Council, for capacity-building initiatives, emphasising their role in enhancing the General Secretariat's efficiency. She commended the "Certified Trainer" programme, which started as an ambitious idea and has now become a structured training programme, strengthening investment in national talent.

She underscored that investing in the training of General Secretariat staff is an investment in the future of Bahrain's parliamentary work. This initiative aligns with the council's vision of supporting its members and enabling them to strengthen the principles of consultation and democracy in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
