Shura Council Delegation Engages with Moroccan Legislative Bodies

Rabat: A delegation from the Secretariat General of the Shura Council, led by Mohammed Radhi Mohammed, Director of Committees Affairs and Legislative Monitoring, paid an official visit to the House of Representatives and the House of Councillors in Morocco. The visit underscores the Secretariat General's intent to broaden institutional cooperation and share legislative and administrative expertise with counterpart councils globally.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the delegation engaged in several coordination meetings with officials from the secretariats general of both the House of Representatives and the House of Councillors. These meetings focused on exchanging experiences in parliamentary work support, coordination with standing committees, and the technical bodies' role in legislative monitoring and analysis.

Discussions included institutional development practices, improving administrative efficiency, and employing modern technologies in legislative council management. The visit also explored parliamentary research, studies, digital transformation, administrative support, and performance development.

Both parties expressed interest in strengthening future cooperation, particularly in parliamentary training and exchanging technical, administrative, and institutional expertise. They also considered joint programmes to benefit secretariat staff and enhance the support quality provided to council members.

This visit demonstrates the Secretariat General of the Shura Council's dedication to effective parliamentary partnerships, enhancing its legislative body reputation by adopting best practices, and developing parliamentary tools according to international standards.
