Shura Council Delegation Engages in Legislative Exchange with Egyptian House of Representatives

Cairo: A delegation from the Shura Council's General Secretariat, led by Mohammed Ahmed Mohammed, Assistant Secretary-General for Legislative Affairs, visited the Egyptian House of Representatives. The delegation was welcomed by Counsellor Ahmed Ezzat Manna, Secretary-General of the Egyptian House of Representatives.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting focused on enhancing institutional ties, sharing legislative and administrative practices, and exploring modern approaches to parliamentary support services. The Shura Council delegation emphasized that the visit signifies Bahrain's intent to deepen relations with the Egyptian legislature and to bolster Arab parliamentary cooperation. They commended the Egyptian House of Representatives for advancements in its administrative and organizational systems.

During the visit, the delegation toured the parliamentary library and museum, which showcase the evolution and heritage of parliamentary life in Egypt. They also visited the new House of Representatives headquarters in the New Administrative Capital to examine its advanced technical and logistical facilities.

The visit included a meeting with officials from the council's Information Centre, where discussions were held on digital transformation, data management, and modern technologies that can enhance institutional development and provide stronger support to the legislative process.
