Shura Council Chairman Meets Indian Delegation to Enhance Bilateral Relations

Manama: Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, Chairman of the Shura Council, met with a high-level Indian delegation comprising members of parliament, political figures, and former diplomats, led by MP Baijayant Panda. The Shura Chairman expressed hope that the visit would further develop bilateral relations and enhance joint cooperation across various domains.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Al Saleh highlighted the historical ties between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Republic of India. He emphasized Bahrain's balanced and consistent foreign policy, which reflects a commitment to promoting peace, dialogue, and mutual understanding, prioritizing wisdom and peaceful solutions to support development and prosperity.

Al Saleh noted the steady growth in Bahrain-India relations, particularly in trade, investment, economy, tourism, and education. He also commended the important role played by the Indian community in the Kingdom, which reflects Bahrain's long-standing values of tolerance, coexistence, openness, and respect for cultural and religious diversity.

On his part, MP Panda commended the continued growth of Bahrain-India relations, noting a qualitative shift in bilateral cooperation, especially in economic and developmental domains. He also highlighted the deep historical ties between the two countries, founded on mutual respect and shared interests.
