Manama: Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, Shura Council Chairman, lauded His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa's support of religious freedoms and the successful organisation of the Ashoora season. He emphasised that HM the King's directives reflect Bahrain's enduring commitment to safeguarding religious rites and promoting a culture of tolerance and coexistence.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Al Saleh also commended the efforts of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and the coordinated work of government bodies in ensuring a secure, well-organised Ashoora season. He highlighted the contributions of the Ministry of Interior, maintaining public safety, and underscored the vital roles played by healthcare, municipal, and support services.
He noted the role of the Jafaari Endowments Directorate in supporting Maatams and Hussainiyas, and praised the spirit of cooperation between public institutions and local communities. The Chairman concluded by affirming Bahrain's position as a regional model for religious harmony and mutual respect, noting that the Ashura commemorations once again showcased the Kingdom's values of unity and peaceful coexistence.
