Shura Council Chairman Highlights Global Impact of Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa Global Award for Women’s Empowerment

Manama: Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, Chairman of the Shura Council, underscored that the Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa Global Award for Women's Empowerment showcases international initiatives that strengthen women's contributions to national and social development as key partners in sustainable progress.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Al Saleh congratulated Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Consort of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), on the launch of the award's third edition, coinciding with the Silver Jubilee of His Majesty the King's accession to the throne. He noted that the award reflects Bahrain's commitment to supporting global efforts to advance women's empowerment and encourages United Nations member states to participate by sharing best practices and innovative initiatives that enhance women's roles in development.

Al Saleh commended HRH Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa for supporting women's empowerment regionally and globally through the award, which serves as an international platform to promote innovation and encourage institutions and individuals to develop impactful programmes supporting women's advancement across sectors. He also commended the SCW's role, under Her Royal Highness's leadership, in highlighting women's progress and strengthening their contributions to development.
