Shura Council Chairman Highlights Bahrain’s Role in Advancing Peace and Coexistence

Manama: Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, Chairman of the Shura Council, said the Kingdom of Bahrain has launched pioneering initiatives that demonstrate its sustained regional and international role in promoting coexistence, tolerance, and peace among religions and peoples.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Al Saleh noted that Bahrain has become a symbol of openness to civilizations and cultures and a model for peaceful coexistence. He underlined that these initiatives reflect the firm conviction of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa in spreading global peace and building a better future for generations.

The Chairman pointed to landmark initiatives launched by Bahrain, including the establishment of the King Hamad Global Center for Coexistence and Tolerance and the King Hamad Award for Peaceful Coexistence. He said these have taken on an international dimension and embodied HM the King's visionary approach to strengthening the foundations of security and peace worldwide.

Al Saleh expressed pride in Bahrain's achievements under the leadership of HM the King, emphasizing its prominent global presence in strengthening the values of coexistence and tolerance and in reinforcing bonds of peace among nations. He attributed this to HM the King's vision and policies, as well as consistent efforts to foster a culture of peace to achieve stability and security for all.

On the occasion of the International Day of Peace, observed annually on September 21 under the 2025 theme 'Act Now for a Peaceful World', the Chairman highlighted Bahrain's accomplishments, which he said were made possible by HM the King's visionary leadership and initiatives. He also commended the efforts of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, in consolidating Bahrain's status as a leading international model in promoting tolerance, human coexistence, and peace among peoples and nations.

He added that HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister's support for initiatives of goodwill and peace, as well as close follow-up on advancing stability and development, further strengthen Bahrain's leading role in spreading peace, consolidating coexistence and tolerance, promoting fraternity, and encouraging dialogue among civilizations.

Al Saleh concluded by expressing pride in Bahrain's efforts and initiatives that highlight its civilizational and humanitarian message and consolidate the values and principles of global peace.
