Shura Council Chairman Emphasises Bahraini Women’s Contributions to National Progress

Manama: Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, Chairman of the Shura Council, underscored the importance of Bahraini Women's Day, celebrated annually on December 1, as a national acknowledgment of the vital contributions made by Bahraini women to the development of the Kingdom across various sectors.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Al Saleh expressed pride in the support provided by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, highlighting that such royal backing is crucial for advancing Bahraini women's roles and enhancing their contributions on both national and international fronts.

He praised government initiatives that bolster women's presence in institutions and sectors, emphasizing the commitment of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, in promoting women's contributions within the Team Bahrain framework.

Al Saleh also commended Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Consort of HM the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women, for her ongoing efforts in empowering women, elevating their status, and implementing strategies that support their achievements. He noted that this year's celebration, themed "Bahraini Women: Distinction, Creativity, Innovation," reflects a comprehensive national vision and highlights the innovative and impactful contributions of Bahraini women to the Kingdom's development.
