Shura Council Chairman Denounces Iranian Drone and Missile Strikes on UAE and Jordan

Manama: Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, Chairman of the Shura Council, strongly condemned the renewed Iranian attacks targeting the United Arab Emirates with a drone and violating the airspace of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan with several ballistic missiles. The Chairman stated that these attacks represent a violation of sovereignty and pose a threat to regional security and stability.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Al Saleh emphasized that the attacks contravene international law, the United Nations Charter, UN Security Council Resolution 2817, and principles of good neighbourliness. He communicated his condemnation through cables to Saqr Ghobash, Speaker of the Federal National Council of the UAE; Faisal Akef Al Fayez, President of the Jordanian Senate; and Mazen Al Qadi, Speaker of the House of Representatives of Jordan, expressing solidarity with the UAE and Jordan.

The Chairman praised the readiness and skill of the UAE and Jordanian armed forces in responding to the attacks, successfully intercepting the drone and missiles. He called on the UN Security Council to take decisive action to ensure Iran adheres to international law, ceases its aggressive actions, and respects state sovereignty to aid in de-escalation and enhance regional security and peace.
