Manama: The Shura Council held a celebration to mark the 25th anniversary of the National Action Charter. Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, Chairman of the Shura Council, emphasized that the National Action Charter laid the groundwork for a new phase of national development in Bahrain, aligned with the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Al Saleh highlighted that the Charter, introduced through royal direction, is considered the foundational document that paved the way for a stable and productive democracy in the Kingdom. He expressed pride in the progress achieved since the Charter's adoption and the comprehensive development witnessed in the national process. He also commended the government's efforts, led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, in planning and implementing strategies for sustainable development.
The chairman noted that the anniversary marks a pivotal moment in Bahrain's history, symbolizing loyalty and cohesion among Bahraini society. He mentioned the national significance of the anniversary coinciding with the order by His Majesty the King designating this year as the "Year of Isa Al Kabeer," highlighting continued progress and building on achievements from the era of Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa.
Al Saleh reaffirmed that the National Action Charter remains a crucial reference and foundation for ongoing efforts to enhance the Kingdom's standing. He stressed that the Shura Council remains committed to contributing legislatively to Bahrain's ongoing growth and development.
