Manama: Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, Chairman of the Shura Council, received Nasser bin Abdullah Al Nasser, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Kingdom of Bahrain, on the occasion of assuming his diplomatic duties. Jamal Mohammed Fakhro, First Deputy Chairman of the Shura Council, was also present. The Chairman congratulated the Ambassador and expressed his wishes for the success of the Ambassador in enhancing the relations between the two nations.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Al Saleh emphasized the historical depth and strong bonds shared by the Kingdom of Bahrain and the State of Qatar. He acknowledged the support and attention given to Bahraini-Qatari relations by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Amir of Qatar. The Chairman discussed the ongoing development of bilateral relations and cooperation at various levels.
Al Saleh further reiterated the Shura Council's commitment to efforts aimed at increasing unity and integration among the Gulf Cooperation Council member states. He highlighted the GCC's position as a significant model both regionally and internationally. Additionally, he pointed out the importance of continued parliamentary communication and cooperation with Qatar's Shura Council, emphasizing the value of exchanging legislative expertise to support progress in both countries.
Ambassador Al Nasser conveyed his gratitude to the Chairman for his dedication to reinforcing bilateral relations. He expressed his commitment to continue diplomatic efforts to enhance cooperation and joint initiatives between Bahrain and Qatar.
