Shura Chairman Receives Draft of State Budget for 2025-2026

Manama: Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, Chairman of the Shura Council, met with Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy, and Ghanim bin Fadhel Al Buainain, Minister of Shura and Representatives Council Affairs, who delivered the draft of the state budget law for the 2025-2026 fiscal years.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Al Saleh emphasized that all legislative and economic efforts and expertise within the Council are being directed towards discussing and reviewing the draft state budget law for the 2025-2026 fiscal years. He stated that this approach aims to serve the national interest and ensure the sustainability of the Kingdom of Bahrain's development and progress under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

Al Saleh expressed pride in the royal directives to advance cooperation and joint action between the legislative and executive authorities to achieve further national accomplishments. He commended the support and attention of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, highlighting his commitment to enhancing collaboration between both authorities to promote growth and prosperity in the Kingdom.

The Chairman also commended the constructive consultations and discussions held during recent joint meetings between the legislative and executive authorities, which enabled an exchange of views on the principles and foundations of the draft state budget. He noted that these meetings reflect a clear commitment to national responsibility and a genuine effort to fulfill national aspirations within the framework of the state budget.

Furthermore, Al Saleh praised the national efforts made by the government team led by Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa in preparing the draft budget. He acknowledged the commitment shown by the ministers and officials in providing detailed information and data on development projects and programs, particularly in the domains of health, education, and housing.

The meeting was also attended by Jamal Mohammed Fakhro, First Deputy Chairman of the Shura Council; Dr. Jehad Abdullah Al Fadhel, Second Deputy Chairman; Khalid Hussain Al Maskati, Chairman of the Financial and Economic Affairs Committee; and Karima Mohammed Al Abbasi, Secretary-General of the Council.
