Shura Chairman Receives BIPD Annual Report

Manama: Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, Chairman of the Shura Council, received Dr. Ali bin Mohammed Al Romaihi, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Bahrain Institute for Political Development (BIPD), who presented the institute's annual report for 2024. The chairman highlighted BIPD's role in fostering national identity and raising awareness of Bahrain's democratic journey under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and with the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Al Saleh commended the institute's training programmes, which enhance national identity and political skills through the use of advanced methods and qualified experts to promote constitutional and democratic practices. He acknowledged BIPD's collaborative efforts with national entities, particularly its specialised programmes supporting parliamentary work with the Shura Council and the Council of Representatives.

He noted the report's documentation of the institute's 2024 activities and successes, which reflects its role in strengthening Bahrain's democratic and developmental achievements. On his part, Dr. Al Romaihi underscored the institute's commitment to advancing initiatives that promote dialogue, tolerance, and responsible citizenship, aligned with HM the King's vision.

Dr. Al Romaihi emphasised the importance of partnerships to enhance societal and political awareness, noting the institute's diverse programmes targeting all community segments as key to fostering active participation and national identity. The chairman commended the institute's forward-looking strategies, the efforts of its leadership, and its sustained contributions to Bahrain's progress.
