Shura Chairman Praises Royal Order Extending Legislative Term for Institutional Stability

Manama: Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, Chairman of the Shura Council, expressed pride and appreciation for the issuance of Royal Order (13) of 2026 extending the sixth legislative term of the Shura Council and the Council of Representatives. Chairman Al Saleh stated that the decision reflects the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to enhance parliamentary stability, advance democratic development in the Kingdom of Bahrain, and support continued legislative progress.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Chairman Al Saleh expressed gratitude for His Majesty the King's recognition of the legislative achievements during the sixth term, which serves as a strong motivation for further national and legislative work. The Chairman noted that extending the term allows both councils to complete discussion and approval of important laws across various sectors, supporting modernisation and development efforts.

He emphasised the importance of continued constructive cooperation with the government led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to improve coordination, achieve national goals, and implement His Majesty the King's directives.
