Shura Chairman Praises Bahraini Youth on International Youth Day

Manama: Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, Shura Council Chairman, hailed the role of Bahraini youth in driving national progress, affirming that the royal patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa has empowered them to contribute effectively to development and achieve national and global aspirations. His remarks came ahead of International Youth Day, observed on August 12.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the Chairman praised the progress achieved by youth under His Majesty's leadership, which reflects the Kingdom's commitment to investing in young people's potential and integrating them into all fields of development, in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

He commended the government, led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for implementing initiatives and programmes that empower youth, enhance their skills, and involve them in policymaking, thereby ensuring sustainable national development.

Al Saleh highlighted the efforts of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Majesty's Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, and His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of the General Sports Authority and the Bahrain Olympic Committee, in advancing youth skills, encouraging innovation, and strengthening their presence in regional and international arenas.

The Chairman reaffirmed the Shura Council's commitment to working with the government to strengthen legislation that supports youth, fosters their role in achieving sustainable development, and enhances their contributions to Bahrain's progress.
