Shura Chairman Meets Saudi Counterpart, UAE Speaker to Enhance Parliamentary Cooperation

Rabat: Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, Chairman of the Shura Council, met with Dr. Shaikh Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Shaikh, Chairman of the Shura Council of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and Saqr Ghobash, Speaker of the Federal National Council of the United Arab Emirates, in Rabat, Morocco. The meeting took place during the third edition of the South-South Parliamentary Dialogue Forum, organized by the Moroccan House of Councillors in cooperation with the Association of Senates, Shura and Equivalent Councils in Africa and the Arab World. According to Bahrain News Agency, the Chairman emphasized that Gulf parliamentary relations are a fundamental pillar in supporting the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) process. He noted the importance of consolidating shared achievements and successes, backed by the leaders of the GCC countries. Al Saleh stressed the need to continue enhancing coordination and consultation between the Gulf legislative councils to achieve common goals and strengthen joint Gulf action at all levels.
