Shura Chairman Highlights Bahrain’s Labour Development Progress

Manama: Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, Chairman of the Shura Council, stated that the ongoing development of Bahrain's labour system and notable advancements in safeguarding workers' rights and fostering a conducive work environment are attributable to the directives from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. These directives have instilled principles of justice and fairness while aligning with global changes through progressive legislation that supports competitiveness and sustainability.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the chairman expressed pride in His Majesty the King's leadership and the royal approach that has laid the groundwork for comprehensive development, positioning Bahraini citizens at the core of the Kingdom's progress. In observance of International Labour Day, celebrated annually on May 1, Al Saleh highlighted that Bahrain, under the guidance of His Majesty the King, has continued to achieve developmental milestones across various sectors. These achievements are supported by ambitious visions that align with contemporary demands, enhance digital transformation, develop national competencies, and create quality employment opportunities contributing to the nation's advancement.

He affirmed the Shura Council's ongoing commitment to supporting and evolving the labour legislative framework, aligning with future transformations, strengthening national achievements, and bolstering Bahrain's comprehensive development process. The chairman also praised the government's efforts, led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, in launching strategic initiatives that enhance the labour market, uphold partnership principles, and contribute to Bahrain's sustainable development goals.

Al Saleh acknowledged the continuous efforts of HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister in supporting Bahrain's overall development, enhancing the labour market's efficiency and competitiveness, and their impact on work environment development, support for national cadres, and the consolidation of justice and worker rights protection. He also underscored the leadership of HRH the Crown Prince in motivating national cadres across public and private sectors to maintain dedication in their roles, thus supporting national progress.

The chairman expressed appreciation for Bahrain's workers, recognizing their persistent efforts in contributing to the Kingdom's development and affirming pride in their role as key partners in achieving national accomplishments under the care and attention of His Majesty the King.
