Manama, Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, Shura Council Chairman, welcomed the royal decree pardoning inmates convicted in various cases on the occasion of Eid Al Adha.
The Shura Chairman said that the royal pardon reflected His Majesty the King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s humanitarian approach and commitment to reinforcing national and societal unity.
He said the royal initiative gave those pardoned the opportunity to reintegrate into society and engage in the comprehensive development process under His Majesty’s leadership.
He expressed pride in the continuous efforts of the government, led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, in supporting the humanitarian approach and the vision of His Majesty the King through harnessing all government capabilities and resources to ensure the rehabilitation of convicts through the alternative sentencing programme.

hich contributed to the Ministry’s human rights achievements.
