Manama: Shura Council Chairman Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh received Henning Georg Simon, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to the Kingdom of Bahrain. Kareema Mohammed Al Abbasi, Secretary-General of the Council, attended the meeting.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Al Saleh commended the strong relations between Bahrain and Germany and their steady growth across various domains. He affirmed the Kingdom's commitment to advancing bilateral cooperation and supporting joint initiatives that promote development and prosperity in both countries. He noted that the relations between the two nations reflect Bahrain's foreign policy, guided by the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and supported by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, in promoting dialogue, international cooperation, and peace.
The chairman highlighted the importance of enhancing parliamentary cooperation between the Shura Council and the German Bundestag through the exchange of visits and expertise, to further coordination on shared priorities, particularly sustainable development and global peace.
On his part, Ambassador Simon expressed appreciation for Bahrain's efforts to strengthen bilateral relations, praising the Kingdom's social cohesion and its role as a model of coexistence and tolerance, as well as a regional hub for dialogue and peace.
