Manama: Shaikh Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, CEO of the National Cyber Security Centre, expressed appreciation to Lieutenant General His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, National Security Advisor, Royal Guard Commander and Secretary General of the Supreme Defence Council, on the occasion of His Highness's visit to the national cyber drill "Cyber Shield 2025", held under His Highness's patronage and organised by the National Cyber Security Centre.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the drill reflected the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, supported by the government led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and followed up by HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad, to enhance national cybersecurity readiness and address accelerating digital challenges.
Shaikh Salman noted that HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad's visit provided strong support to the participating national competencies. His Highness reviewed the performance of the teams on the third day of the drill, including mechanisms for responding to cyber incidents and the level of technical and organisational coordination between the centre and participating entities.
