Diyar al muharraq: Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister, visited Diyar Al Muharraq to view the Al Naseem project on completion of villa construction. The visit was at the invitation of Abdulhakim Yaqoob Al Khayyat, Chairman of Diyar Al Muharraq Company.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah was accompanied by senior officials including Kamal bin Ahmed Mohammed, President of the Electricity and Water Authority; Wael bin Nasser Al Mubarak, Minister of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture; Ibrahim bin Hassan Al Hawaj, Minister of Works; Yasser bin Ibrahim Humaidan, Minister of Electricity and Water Affairs; Amna bint Ahmed Al Rumaihi, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning; and Essam bin Abdullah Khalaf, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA).
The Deputy Prime Minister stated that Bahrain's real estate development sector continues making progress aligned with the goals of the comprehensive development process led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and guided by His Royal Highness Shaikh Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. This progress enhances the competitiveness of the national economy and elevates Bahrain's position as an attractive investment destination.
He highlighted that the government is advancing the regulatory and legislative framework for real estate development, consolidating governance, transparency, and protection of stakeholder rights. He noted this should be based on a balanced urban planning approach that prioritises quality of life and adapts to changes in the sector, creating an appealing environment for developers and investors.
Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah underscored the importance of the partnership between the public and private sectors as part of the national economy, which has demonstrated its role in stimulating growth and facilitating the successful delivery of major strategic projects. He pointed out that the private sector is an essential partner in development, particularly in boosting the contribution of non-oil sectors, with real estate development being a key component.
He explained that the stability of real estate market activity reflects investor confidence and ongoing demand for integrated housing projects and services, supporting economic diversification targets and creating quality job and investment opportunities.
The Deputy Prime Minister inspected the Al Naseem project components, commending the significant addition it offers to the urban landscape alongside other key projects nationwide. He also praised Diyar Al Muharraq city as an integrated urban model combining modern housing with various commercial, service, and investment activities, wishing continuous success to those leading these projects to support the Kingdom's real estate development pace.
On his part, Abdulhakim Yaqoob Al Khayyat, Chairman of Diyar Al Muharraq Company, expressed pride in Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah's visit to the Al Naseem project, applauding his ongoing interest in the real estate sector and support for developers to continue achieving positive results that support comprehensive development and enrich the national economy.
