Sitra: Assigned by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister, visited Sitra this morning following the Iranian attacks that targeted the area and damaged residential properties. Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah was accompanied by General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior, along with other ministers and senior officials.
According to Bahrain News Agency, during the visit, the Deputy Prime Minister conveyed HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister’s directive that the government will cover the costs of repairing damage to the homes and properties affected by the attacks and provide appropriate solutions to ensure the well-being of the residents. He also informed the families of those injured that the government will continue to monitor the medical condition of those injured and ensure they receive the necessary care. This includes treatment through government hospitals, having specialised doctors attend to their treatment when required, or arranging treatment abroad if required.
Meeting residents of Sitra, Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah said the hostile Iranian attacks clearly demonstrated the unity of the Bahraini people and their solidarity behind the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa when facing challenges. The Deputy Prime Minister said that the pain felt by the families in Sitra had resonated across the Kingdom, reflecting the strong national cohesion in Bahrain and the unity of its people in safeguarding the country’s security, stability, and social fabric.
He affirmed that the government is mobilising all available resources to address the aftermath of the attacks and ensure the safety of citizens and residents. He also highlighted the high level of readiness and professionalism shown by security personnel and medical teams, as well as their swift response in protecting lives and property.
Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah stressed that Bahrain will continue its comprehensive development process under the leadership of His Majesty the King and the directives of HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. He added that the Kingdom will continue to strengthen security and stability and will confront any attempts to undermine its sovereignty or national capabilities.
On their part, residents of Sitra expressed their appreciation to His Majesty the King and HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister for their directives, which they said reflect the leadership’s commitment to the safety and well-being of citizens. They also thanked the Deputy Prime Minister, the Minister of Interior, and the accompanying ministers and officials for their visit, noting that it reflects the government’s attention to the safety of citizens and its efforts to address their needs during these circumstances. They affirmed their confidence in the measures taken by the state to confront the attacks and protect lives and property.
