Shaikh Isa Bin Ali Reviews Preparations for FIBA Congress, Hall of Fame Ceremony

Manama: His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa, Vice President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, met with Fatima bint Jaffar Al Sairafi, Minister of Tourism, to review preparations for Bahrain's hosting of the FIBA Congress and Hall of Fame ceremony, scheduled to take place from May 14 to 18.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting was attended by Sara Ahmed Buhijji, CEO of the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA), and Ala'a Mudara, President of the Bahrain Basketball Association. The discussions focused on the ongoing preparations by the Ministry of Tourism and BTEA.

Shaikh Isa bin Ali commended Minister Al Sairafi's efforts and the robust partnership between the tourism sector and the Bahrain Olympic Committee in ensuring the event's success. He emphasized the event's importance in strengthening Bahrain's global sports presence and promoting it as a tourism destination.

The meeting also explored ways to enhance cooperation between the sports and tourism sectors, aiming to deliver a world-class event that reflects Bahrain's position as a premier host for international events.
