The Security Media Cell confirmed that the security situation throughout Kirkuk governorate is stable.
The Cell stated in a statement, “Some social networking sites circulated news about the instability of the security situation in Kirkuk Governorate, and here we confirm that the security situation throughout Kirkuk Governorate is stable and there are no events that disturb life there.”
It added: “Whoever promotes such incorrect news is trying to shuffle the cards,” indicating that the people of this province were and still are characterized by peaceful coexistence among themselves, and we witness that there is full cooperation between the citizens and the security forces in this benevolent province, which is the title of the unity of the dear homeland.
It stressed the importance of preserving the security and service gains in Kirkuk and the rest of the country’s governorates, calling for accuracy in transmitting information and knowing the facts from its official sources, and for everyone at all levels to stand with the unity, interest and stability of Iraq.
