Manama: The first meeting of the Cooperation Committee between the Supreme Council for Women and women's associations and committees was chaired by Lulwa bint Saleh Al Awadhi, Secretary General of SCW. Al Awadhi conveyed the greetings of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Consort of HM the King and President of the SCW, and emphasized the committee's key role in strengthening national collaboration to support women's issues and advance initiatives under the National Plan for the Advancement of Bahraini Women (2025-2026).
According to Bahrain News Agency, According to Jordanian News Agency, the meeting reviewed the committee's formation and objectives. These include activating the role of women's civil society organizations, communicating Bahraini women's needs, and coordinating with the Council to address challenges facing women.
Participants also discussed the committee's mechanisms and priority initiatives, particularly in family stability and quality of life, and explored ways to enhance partnerships with civil society.
The meeting concluded with an agreement to set upcoming priorities aligned with the national plan and to submit proposals for awareness programs, while marking the upcoming Silver Jubilee of the Supreme Council for Women and Bahraini Women's Day 2026.
